Benefits for Retirees at MyFordBenefits

People who have spent their lives working to make Ford a success. In return, we want to make sure you’re set up financially for retirement. This is why we do an annual review of our retirement programmes to make sure they are still meeting the needs of our retirees and offering them desirable options.

The rising national cost of health care is adding to the rising cost of providing health insurance for retirees. To guarantee that our retirees always receive fair pricing, we will keep making the required upgrades.

As a result, on January 1, 2020, retirees who are not yet Medicare-eligible will have access to not one but two extra health coverage options.

The following healthcare plans will be available in 2020:

  • PPO 3600 + HSA
  • OPP 4000

There are no restrictions on which doctors you may see, as both plans cover the entire Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan network. A Health Savings Account (HSA) is available as part of the PPO 3600 + HSA plan, which might reduce your out-of-pocket costs for medical care.
